Domicium
For Ghanaians abroad

Rent back home, from anywhere

Distance is where rental scams thrive. Domicium gives the diaspora verified landlords, inspected homes and a record of every payment — and tells you plainly what has not been checked.

Gold-verified listings

Gold means someone from Domicium visited the property and confirmed its GPS location — not a photo you have to take on trust.

See what was actually checked

Every listing shows its evidence: identity, ownership documents, inspection. You can tell what a badge proves and what it does not.

Remote video viewings

A scheduled walkthrough over video with whoever is showing the property. Consent to recording is held separately for each side, and only the host sets the time and the joining link — which has to be a real link, enforced at the column rather than in a form.

Book a real slot

Viewings book into slots that carry a capacity, so two people cannot be promised the same half-hour — and you can send someone in your place.

Sponsor a family member

Rent formally on behalf of family at home: what you cover, up to what cap, for how long. They keep their own tenancy and their own portal.

Talk to the owner directly

Message the landlord or manager in the platform and keep the whole conversation on the record.

Sign from anywhere

Generate and digitally sign your Ghana-specific tenancy agreement from London, New York or Accra.

Prices in your currency

See rent in GHS, USD, GBP or EUR for a sense of scale. Rent is set and settled in cedis, and conversion uses an indicative rate, not a live one.

Sponsor family

Rent on behalf of family at home — you handle the agreement and payment, they move in.

What to know before you commit

You are the furthest away and the least able to check for yourself. So here is how the awkward parts actually work, and where the gaps are, unprompted.

  • Rent and deposits are normally paid by Mobile Money or bank transfer. You — or whoever is moving in — then declare the payment on the platform, and it stays a claim until the landlord confirms it. That is deliberate: the confirmation is what posts to the books, so there is a receipt trail on both sides rather than a screenshot in a chat.
  • Currency conversion is indicative. Use it for bearings, not for planning a transfer.
  • Fraud checks are not segmented by where an account signs in from. The signals that do run — reused numbers, duplicate photographs, copied descriptions — apply to every account equally.
  • A walkthrough is only recorded when both sides have agreed to it. Nobody is recorded because somebody else ticked a box on their behalf.
